Roast Semolina:

- Add semolina and roast it on medium-low heat until it turns golden brown and you can smell a nutty aroma. Be careful not to burn it.
-
Prepare Sugar Syrup:
- In a separate pot, heat water and sugar to make a sugar syrup.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
-
Combine Semolina and Sugar Syrup:
- Slowly add the sugar syrup to the roasted semolina, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
-
Cook and Add Flavorings:
- Keep stirring to avoid any lumps and ensure the semolina absorbs the sugar syrup.
- Add cardamom powder and saffron strands (if using) for flavor.
-
Add Chopped Nuts:
- In a small pan, roast the chopped nuts in a little ghee until they are golden brown.
- Add the roasted nuts to the sheera and mix well.
-
Serve:
- Continue to cook and stir until the sheera reaches a halwa-like consistency and the ghee starts to separate from the mixture.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
